The EdgeGate 242W is a multi-service residential gateway designed to reduce the cost and simplify the delivery of voice, video and data services to homes and small office/home office (SOHO).

Designed for indoor installations, the EdgeGate 242W includes a built-in bridge and router to enable customers to connect their home network either through one of four 10/100Base-T LAN ports or the wireless 802.11b/g access point. Analog phone sets can be connected to one of two FXS POTS ports to provide VoIP using SIP signaling protocol. The EdgeGate 242W supports up to 100 Mbps downstream and 100 Mbps upstream over bi-directional fixed fiber ports.

Together with Telco Systems’ carrier class T5C switches, the EdgeGate 242W provides end-to-end Active Ethernet Fiber-to-the-X (home/building/business) solution. It offers ILECs, utilities, municipalities, Greenfield developers, and system integrators a cost-effective means to offer voice, video and data while ensuring high reliability and availability.
